Marketing source code support is available with engageRE WordPress websites. This is used to identify activity (both traffic and leads) from specific referral sources where you may be advertising or just about anywhere you can place an inbound link to your WordPress website (including emails and text messages).
The convention is to append the text ?source=[some name] to the URL you want to place externally. For example:
- http://www.mywebsite.com/ST/Town?source=zillow
- http://www.mywebsite.com/town-st-homes-for-sale/?source=localnewspaper
The name you use is up to you - it can be anything, however it should only be alphabetic characters and numbers - no symbols or spaces.
With that convention in use, you can use Google Analytics to access reports on traffic volume attributable to that source. You can also access the marketing source code reports in the engageRE agent portal (LeadStreet) to report on leads against that source code.
Note: This convention is different (and replaces) the native marketing source code featured supported by the Reliance platform. That convention will not work with WordPress.
