Trouble Getting Into MAX Tech or Launching An App?

The Issue

Under certain circumstances, it is possible to have your MAX Center login expire while you are still using MAX Tech. This can happen if you stop using MAX Tech for an extended period of time, and then return and start using it again. This situation seems to occur most often with mobile devices.

The Symptom

What happens is this: when you return to MAX Tech after a period of inactivity, and then try to launch an app (like LeadStreet), MAX Center may pop-up and prompt you to login again. However, when you do, instead of taking you to the intended app, it leaves you on the MAX Center dashboard.

The Solution

For now, the workaround is to sign out of the MAX Center window that appears (using the menu) and then go back to MAX Tech and try again. The problem should self correct.

MAX Tech & MainStreet

Some MAX Tech Apps (notably MainStreet and the rem.ax URL shortener) do not recognize your MAX Center login.

For these apps, when they are launched from MAX Tech, you may be prompted next to login to MainStreet. Simply do so (and allow your browser to remember your login, if desired) and you will be taken to the destination where you intended to go.

MAX Tech vs. MAX Center

Confused about the difference between MAX Tech and MAX Center?

In some ways their similar and in some ways they're different. And they work together - so that can add to some confusion.

Here's a helpful comparison:

MAX Center (maxcntr.com) is a tool adopted by RE/MAX, LLC that provides a simple way to get to some of the technology tools provided by RE/MAX.

You access MAX Center using your remax.net email and password.

MAX Tech (MAXtech.me) is a tool adopted by your Region that provides a new way of using technology within your real estate business. One of its functions is similar to MAX Center, in that it provides an easy way for you to get to your favorite RE/MAX tools and services - regardless of who provides them.

You access MAX Tech the same way as MAX Center - using your remax.net email and password.

Bottom line - you are free to use them both, but we recommend that you use MAX Tech for your everyday needs.
